A conversation with Toronto-based radio artist Andrew O’Connor and Todd Lanier Lester, one of the founders of lanchonete.org, about our collaboration Radio Santos Dumont, São Paulo, 1–2 October 2022. Coinciding with the presidential elections, Radio Santos Dumont was a day of workshops, events and performances at Conjunto Santos Dumont. It elaborate on Andrew O’Connor’s site-specific installation made with architect and interpreter Gabi Ushida.

fugitive radio an urban artistic-research project initiated by Sumugan Sivanesan emphasising radio as a social practice. It is concerned with migrant, queer and indigenous voices, narratives, experiences and music.
fugitive radio was developed over 2020–21 in collaboration with Pixelache Helsinki and supported by the Kone Foundation. fugitive radio: rádio em fuga in Brazil 2022 was funded by the Australia Council for the Arts.
